Day 1: Delhi
Arrival at Delhi Airport / Railway Station. Transfer to Hotel. Refresh at Hotel and leave for Delhi Half day local sightseeing by visiting Cremation sites of national leaders, Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi, Father of Nation) later visit Red Fort. At Night drive around India Gate, free standing 42 meter arch, popularly known as India Gate. It was originally called All India War Memorial in memory of the 90,000 Soldiers of the Indian Army who died in World War I. The names of the soldiers are inscribed all along the walls of the arch. In1971, an eternal flame was lit here to honor the Amar Jawan (immortal soldiers) for dinner visit to Dilli Haat. Back to Hotel. O/N Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi
Morning after breakfast leave for full day sightseeing by visiting, National Treasure Museum. Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhawan (President's House) QUTUB MINAR, This magnificent structure built by the Kutab-ud-din Aibak in 1199 AD. The first three stories are made of red sandstone, the fourth and fifth of marble and sandstone & later move to Akshardham Temple,Representing the Hindu mythology and the Indian culture, the Akshardham Temple stands on the banks of river Yamuna, covering an area of 100 acres. This modern-day wonder boasts 234 embellished pillars, 20,000 statues and a number of arches. The temple complex houses an exhibition halls and musical fountains. Surrounded by beautifully laid out garden, the temple attracts lakhs of tourists from far and wide. The temple is built in marble and red sandstone, symbolizing devotion and eternal peace. Back to Hotel by evening. O/N Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi-Agra
Early morning drive to the city of Agra. Afternoon visit the Agra Fort- the rusty and majestic red- sandstone fort of Agra. It stands on the bank of the river Yamuna and Emperor Akbar started the construction in 1566. Later at sunset visit the magnificent Taj Mahal- one of the Seven Wonders of the World surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife. Evening free to explore the Agra's rich heritage of handicrafts in its markets. O/N Agra.
Day 4: Agra - Jaipur (4-5 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Jaipur- the fabled "Pink City", the desert named after Jai Singh, the former Maharaja of Jaipur. This is the only city in the world symbolizing the nine division of the Universe through the nine rectangular sectors subdividing it. Enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri- a perfectly preserved sandstone "ghost town" or Akbars Tomb, which was the estranged capital of mughal emperor Akbar, built in 1569 and deserted when its water supply failed. Arrive Jaipur in late evening. O/N Jaipur.
Day 5: Jaipur
After a breakfast, visit the majestic Amer Fort. Later visit the City Palace and Palace of Winds also known as Hawa Mahal. This elaborate building, now little more than a façade, is encrusted with delicate screen and carved balconies from which the royal ladies confined to their quarters, could sneak view of the outside world & Jantar Mantar. Evening enjoy dinner at Chokhi Dani (An Ethnic Village Resort) where you will have an idea of village life of Rajasthan here you will also enjoy various traditional Rajasthan Delicacies, Dances, Puppet show and various other interesting activities. Day 6: Jaipur
Morning after breakfast leave for Jaipur Airport / Railway station to board back to Destination. Journey Ends here |
